Carey Nash

Carey Nash, RYT 200 has practiced yoga since 2006 exclusively at Sattva. She believes, “Yoga will change your life, if you let it,” and enjoys making yoga fun and accessible while helping people on their yoga journey. She is also a certified nutritionist, specializing in Plant-Curious Nutrition.

Level 2/3 Standing poses (asanas) followed by floor poses, completing with breathing (pranayama), relaxation (savasana), and meditation (dhyana). This class in non-heated, but does include more advanced asanas (poses) and transitions (Chaturanga Dandasana, Vinyasas) than the Hatha 1 flow class. The posture flow is a scientifically developed series designed to work every part of the body safely. Suitable for (fit) beginners to advanced students.

Hatha 1 (60 min.)

Level 1 Learn the foundation of yoga poses and moving the body with the breath. This class starts with standing poses, followed by floor poses, ending with relaxation, breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation. Offered in a non-heated room designed for beginners of all ages and those with medical issues who desire a gentle yoga flow for stress reduction, injury rehabilitation, increased circulation, lower blood pressure, and relief from chronic lower back and joint pain. It is a beneficial flow during pregnancy, as yoga is effective in easing the birth process.

Level 3/Experienced (no instruction) A deeper meditative practice designed for experienced Level 3 students with 3 months or more of consistent practice. This class is open to regular Sattva Yoga Center students only. If you are a beginning student or are new to Sattva Yoga Center, please join this class after 3 months of consistent practice.

Level 2/3 Dynamic system of asanas and pranayama practices, linking breath to movement. Intro to Ashtanga Vinyasa postures, including arm balances and inversions, with modifications and variations. Builds heat, flexibility, strength and awareness of body and mind. Level 2/3
